Mental Health Nurse

Mental health nurses are crucial to the recovery of their patients. In this assignment, you will provide services to promote and maintain optimal mental health, manage mental and physical disorders and diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential mental health problems. You will work with individuals, families, groups and communities to assess mental health needs, develop diagnoses and plans and implement and evaluate nursing care. You will also monitor patients undergoing detoxification from alcohol and drugs, assist in planning, providing and evaluating comprehensive mental health services and support, conduct and use nursing research to improve health-care delivery. As a mental health nurse you may manage inpatient care units, provide case management, and work with members in the deployed setting. PAY CHART
